Responsibilities

As a Junior Mobile Developer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining features in our Flutter mobile application. You'll collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver user-facing features, consume data from a custom GraphQL API, and integrate it into app experiences. Your tasks will also include writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and learning best practices from senior team members.

Must-Haves

To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Active participation in a church, with a lifestyle that includes inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community
  • 1-2 years of experience in mobile app development (professional or strong personal projects)
  • Exposure to Flutter or similar cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Xamarin, etc.) with a willingness to learn Flutter quickly
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs or GraphQL
  • Basic knowledge of Git and version control
  • Strong eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative team environment

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, experience working with Flutter in production, understanding of GraphQL queries and mutations, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and knowledge of testing frameworks (unit testing, widget testing in Flutter) would be a significant asset.
