Nissan is taking a significant step forward in enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience with the introduction of the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network. This innovative network enables seamless charging for Nissan Ariya and future EV drivers, streamlining vehicle management and public charging into one convenient app experience.

The new feature, accessible through the MyNISSAN app by November 2024, simplifies EV ownership by allowing users to find nearby charging stations, view real-time availability, and pay for charging – all within a single, user-friendly interface. With a default payment method stored in the app, users can effortlessly start a charging session at compatible stations.

The NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network boasts an extensive network of over 90,000 in-network chargers across the United States, featuring partnerships with prominent charging providers like Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo. This comprehensive coverage aims to alleviate range anxiety and make long-distance driving easier for Nissan EV owners.

While current Nissan LEAF owners can't access this feature through the MyNISSAN app (instead using the NissanConnect EV and Services app), they'll still benefit from the expanded charging network. The NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network is another testament to Nissan's commitment to enhancing customer experience and making EV ownership more convenient.

Unlocking Convenient Charging Options

In addition to the new network, Ariya drivers will soon be able to charge at compatible Tesla Supercharger locations with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter, set to launch later this year. This move significantly expands charging options for Ariya owners. By 2026, Nissan plans to introduce EVs with NACS ports for the US and Canadian markets.

Aiming for Sustainable Mobility

As part of its long-term strategy to drive towards a more sustainable future, Nissan is committed to electrifying its model lineup. The company aims to launch 16 new electrified models globally by the end of fiscal year 2026, further solidifying its dedication to sustainable mobility.

Discovering the Power of Ariya

The Nissan Ariya boasts impressive credentials as the brand's most advanced EV, offering up to 304 miles of EPA-estimated driving range (Venture+ trim) and the added confidence of available e4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel drive. With a starting price enhanced to $39,590 for the 2024 model year, Ariya is poised to appeal to a broader audience of EV buyers.
