At Xbox, we're committed to delivering a seamless gaming experience for all players. To achieve this, we're taking steps to align our services with the evolving needs of our community. Specifically, we'll be unlocking free-to-play games on Xbox without requiring an Xbox Live Gold membership. We're working hard to roll out this change as soon as possible in the coming months.
For existing Xbox Live Gold members, your subscription prices will remain the same. New and existing members can continue to enjoy Xbox Live Gold for the current prices: $9.99 for 1-month, $24.99 for 3-months, $39.99 for 6-months, and $59.99 for retail 12-months in the US.

Since launching Xbox Live 18 years ago, we've been dedicated to creating the most advanced multiplayer network available for a vast community of gamers. Our commitment includes investing in digital safety, enabling new ways to share and communicate, and delivering industry-leading reliability across our network.
As we continuously assess the value and pricing of our services, we'll make adjustments to reflect changes in regional marketplaces and invest in our gaming community. In many markets, the price of Xbox Live Gold has remained unchanged for years, while in some regions, it hasn't changed for over a decade.
What This Means for You
As an existing online 12-month or 6-month Xbox Live Gold member, your subscription prices won't change. If you choose to renew, your membership will continue at the current price. The price of a 1-month Gold membership is increasing by $1 USD, while the price of a 3-month membership is increasing by $5 USD or the equivalent amount in your local market.
If you'd like to upgrade your Gold membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, your remaining Gold time will convert directly to Ultimate (up to 36 months). For example, if you have 11 months of Xbox Live Gold now and upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, those 11 months will convert to 11 months of Ultimate at no additional cost.
Members in regions where prices are being adjusted will receive an email and message center notification over the next month detailing the new pricing. Going forward, new pricing will be $10.99 for 1-month, $29.99 for 3-months, and $59.99 for 6-months or your local market equivalent. You can always visit your account to manage your membership, and prices won't adjust until at least 45 days after receiving the notifications.
