As we continue to evolve as a company, our approach to game development and community support is undergoing significant changes. This shift is crucial for us to maintain our edge in creating exceptional gaming experiences – an essential aspect of Blizzard's DNA. Over the past few years, we've been refining our development processes and making tough decisions, leading to the launch of new games and projects that we're proud to showcase. Our portfolio now boasts more live games and unannounced titles than ever before, with a diverse range of projects that leverage the skills of our talented developers.

However, as we look to the future, we've had to make some difficult choices to ensure the long-term sustainability of our games. This means reassigning some of our developers from Heroes of the Storm to other teams, where they can bring their expertise and passion to new projects. While this change may be bittersweet for some fans, it's a natural evolution that has been seen in many of Blizzard's iconic titles, including Diablo II, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Overwatch.

Despite these changes, Heroes of the Storm remains our love letter to Blizzard's beloved worlds and characters. We'll continue to support the game with new heroes, themed events, and content that resonates with our community, albeit at a slightly altered pace. This strategic shift positions Heroes for long-term success, allowing us to focus on creating an even more engaging experience for our players.

In terms of esports, we've reevaluated our plans for Heroes of the Storm tournaments. After careful consideration, we've decided that the Heroes Global Championship and Heroes of the Dorm will not return in 2019. This decision was not taken lightly, as we understand the passion and dedication of our community to these programs. However, we believe this change is necessary to maintain the high standards that players and fans have come to expect from Blizzard's esports initiatives.

As we look to the future, we're excited about the opportunities that these changes will bring for our other live games and upcoming projects. We're grateful for the hard work and dedication of our developers and the Blizzard community, and we can't wait to share more epic gaming experiences with you in the years to come.
