The Role:

As a React Native Engineer II on our Fantasy team, you'll work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver impactful features. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining user-facing features in React Native across iOS and Android platforms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of features
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with an emphasis on performance and usability
  • Working with RESTful APIs and real-time data via WebSockets
  • Participating in code reviews and receiving mentorship from senior engineers

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • 2-4 years of experience in software development, including hands-on experience with React Native
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and a working knowledge of TypeScript (5.0)
  • Familiarity with React fundamentals: functional components, hooks (useState, useEffect), and component-based architecture
  • Experience working with mobile state management libraries (e.g., Redux or Context API)
  • Comfortable consuming REST APIs using axios or fetch
  • Basic understanding of GraphQL and Apollo Client

Nice to Have:

While not required, experience with common testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, or Detox is a plus. Additionally, familiarity with design tools like Figma or Zeplin for implementing UI specs can be beneficial.
