The latest update for RocketVideoPlayer, an alternative video player to MoonShell for Nintendo DS and DSi, takes user experience to the next level with improved performance and compatibility.

This innovative software leverages SD cards to playback proprietary .rvid files, ensuring exceptional visual quality thanks to lossless frame technology. To enjoy these contents, users must convert their video files into .rvid using the dedicated Vid2RVID tool, a simple process that perfectly adapts content to the player's specifications.

The recently released update focuses on bug fixes, particularly addressing a critical issue with BlocksDS. On Nintendo DSi, pressing the POWER button after booting from a homebrew menu like TWLMenu++ would cause the console to restart instead of shutting down correctly. Additionally, a graphical defect has been eliminated, which displayed an unwanted vertical line at the top of the screen during interlaced video playback in 4:3 format with 16BPP RGB565 color mode.

  • Support for videos up to 60FPS, compatible with DS and DS Lite systems!
